As a student studying Animal Ecology and is looking to get an internship in Alaska any moment I can, my parents (mainly my mother) put me onto this gem of a show. I'm currently going through Season 4 and just PRAYING that Joel and Maggie get together at the end. In all seriousness, this is legitimately one of the best shows with some of the most well-written characters I've had the privilege to watch. Whether you're having a really good day or a really bad one, you can always rely on an episode or Northern Exposure to cheer your up. Whether its Chris' philosophical words, Ed's goofy attitude, Joel and Maggie's bickering, or Ruth Anne's jolly presence whenever she's on-screen, this show is perfect for just any day.
