I started drinking whiskey heavily around the clock a few years ago after a traumatic event. I ended up in the ER when I tried stopping bc my BP SKYROCKETED to crisis level when I went 6 hours without a drink. detox worked but I slipped up several months ago and started back. I tried stopping but it was too late bc even when I tried weaning off it gave me terrible physical withdrawal symptoms. I was ready to go back to detox.
luckily I searched ways to stop drinking and came across this. I was only half way through when I was able to stop and HAD NO PHYSICAL WITHDRAWAL. that was the last thing standing between me and not drinking. he says in the book that people think he's "hypnotizing" people. and he says he is not and if anything he is "UN hypnotizing". I'm good with whichever!!!! this book saved me a trip to rehab and hopefully I will never slip up and pick back up again.
