I don’t understand where people are finding this game ‘overly political’. In my eyes this game is a masterpiece, especially as someone who doesn’t really enjoy horror/thriller video games, yet loved this one. The game is scary, thrilling and adventurous and has a great world.

People in the ratings are complaining about the death of protagonist, Joel Miller, yet I think it adds depth to the game. Ellie’s villain arc is based off of her immense loss during the outbreak, including her humanity, and her loved ones, that includes Joel. I think the death of her father figure is what ultimately sets off the storyline, Abby murdered Ellie’s father, and now she wants revenge for that loss. The game is a beautiful journey through the experience of grief and loss, and shows Ellie’s inner turmoil with her morality, sanity, and humanity.

Performance wise, this game was fantastic on PS5, I played the PS4 version and it still worked miracles. Graphics are fantastic, visuals were great, audio brilliant, I had no greetings with glitches or bugs during my journey through the game, and overall performance was 10/10.
Easily 5 stars.
