Absolutely the best dramatised WW2 series ever made. Knowing that the characters, events and personal traumas all related to real people makes this a compelling, moving and disturbing series. Maybe if the pigmy politicians of today watched this series they'd stop thinking that war is some video game and actually understand that people, countries and infrastructure are destroyed in war we'd have less banging of war drums and more diplomacy.
