For me, Cyberpunk 2077 is a disappointment on nearly every level. The game plays like garbage, the world feels totally empty, and nearly all RPG elements have been entirely removed. And no, the game's beauty isn't even close to making up for it.
I waited nearly a year for bug fixes, and eventually purchased this game at a significant discount ($20 USD) Even so, I still feel I overpaid.
At it's best, Cyberpunk is a blade runner screen saver simulator, as the world is beautiful. Unfortunately nearly every other aspect of the game is severely lacking.
Perhaps the only silver lining is: Cyberpunk 2077 should serve as a lasting example for future game developers for how NOT to make an open world game. I was rooting for CDPR for years during the development of this game, but now I honestly hope a company like Rockstar dunks on them by making a game 10 times better. It's only a matter of time. CDPR was simply too ambitious with this game internally, and too dishonest with it's fans during development.
I can't remember a bigger disappointment of a game. Don't believe me? I DARE YOU to buy this game. You would be better off flushing $60 down your toilet.
