In short, the movie doesn’t match up to the expectations and the marketing around it. Detailed reasons: 1. The movie could easily have been cut short by 30 mins as few scenes were totally redundant and weren’t required per the flow. 2. The script looks unreal. I haven’t seen any case where a child becomes aggressive to the level of being a lunatic if his/her father didn’t pay enough attention during the child’s formative years. Sure, this is a movie, but some relatability is required. 3. The father son duo and the storyline doesn’t trigger any emotions. You start watching the film, appreciate some scenes, Ranbir’s style, Range Rovers etc, and then you finish off the film and come back. Doesn’t create any impact. 4. Lord Bobby’s role is slightly more than a guest appearance. Could have been utilised more. Based on the trailers, I thought Bobby would have an at par role with Ranbir, but his role was 10% of what Ranbir had. 5. The direction is just about average. There are many areas where you feel the film could have been better. Just like a typical Shahrukh, Salman movie, too much marketing and buzz, not enough substance. Nevertheless, the fight sequences are good and Ranbir’s acting is certainly better than what Ajay, Shahrukh, Salman, Akshay and these overrated ‘actors’ have been doing. Akshay should learn that doing 4 films in an year is only helping him make money, not giving solid performances to audience. You gotta be 100% involved in your Kraft to give a solid performance the impact of which lasts for a ling time. Ranbir’s acting is almost at par with Ranveer’s Khilji role.

The movie didn’t meet the expectations of the hype it had created. 1. Lord Bobby had a very small role in contrast to what was reflecting on social media 2. Many redundant scenes which could have been avoided to cut short the movie by 30 mins easily 3. The depiction of emotions weren’t powerful enough to create a WOW impact 4. Father son relationship looked like an exaggeration after some point Besides, some of the fight sequences are really good and Ranbir’s performance deserves a praise

I watched the movie based on reviews (which were really good). As people in India are driven more by emotions rather than sense and logic, the same applies to the reviews. Some folks want to give exceptional reviews just because everyone is talking positive about it and they have the fear of loosing out. This movie is just avg. with nothing exceptional in this. It’s a low budget movie obviously because it isn’t a story of a ‘celebrity cricketor’. That’s fine, but the overall sensitivity, emotions and thrill is missing. Even Gangs of Wasseypur was a low budget movie.. The BGM doesn’t go well with scenes and the overall theme. While watching, you just feel bad because that’s human nature. You feel bad when something bad happens to a deserving candidate

Excellent Show. The makers deserve a huge round of applause for conceiving and creating a show like this. It’s a message for film makers who believe that vulgarity, sex and abusive languages are indispensable for a show to be successful. The show looks very real, relatable and gripping at the same time. Performances are praiseworthy and every actor does justice to his/her roles. Story, narration, BGM all top notch

So much so is talked about GOT or Vikings. Although GOT moved down from excellent to good because of its ending, Vikings was a total disaster after season 4. For this show, the makers cut down on locations and other things probably because of budget constraints in initial seasons. Even then, the show overall is superb and so gripping that you don’t feel like getting up from your seat. Based on true history, I really applaud the makers to bring out this story which is so inspirational still seldom talked about whenever history is brought up. A story of real heroes. The other thing I slightly disliked was the animated blood spill scenes. Funny that a punch in the face doesn’t spill a mug full of your blood. But over all, excellent show and kudos to the makers on how you could create such a fine crafted and directed show even with less money. If it weren’t for some of the above mentioned things, I would have called it better than GOT. It is still one of the all time greats!!
