All of Sheridans shows are excellent. 1923 especially. Spencer brings a calm grittiness to the series. Let Spencer's actor stay the same and age with makeup. Bringing in McConaughey as an older Spencer will sink the series. As much as I enjoy the series, I will not watch it with McConaughey. He should stick to Rom-Coms !

Really liked watching this show. Unfortunately it has become saturated with some subtle and some not so subtle political and social statements. 911 Lone star is getting that way also. Fans watch shows to be entertained and not to have the producers and writers include their personal opinions.
