I had watched every series of " The Unforgiven", with the magnificent Nicola Walker. I don't understand how this film has any relationship to that series.
I had never heard of the film and just stumbled upon it. It was a wonderful surprise.
The atmospherics were compelling throughout, being taut and a little spooky.
The story moved quickly without any unnecessary padding. Sandra Bullock seemed extremely realistic, exactly as one would expect her character to be given the circumstances of her life.
All of the other parts were played convincingly, with tight direction resulting in a flawless end product. Indeed, the film was pitch perfect throughout.
I was not expecting it but the last few moments were so beautiful, really emotional.
You would have to be callous not to have some tears in your eyes!
