First off, this game was completely amazing. I’m not going to go down the line of pros and cons because it’s not worth it in my opinion because there will be those who agree and those who don’t. The game was beautiful. The sound effect was amazing. The heart was present. This is a post apocalyptic world, realistically speaking, I would expect that this is what it would really feel like if a plague consumed the world and everyday became a constant reminder that I am a survivor. This game was well built. I don’t understand why so many people are hating on the game because of the story, it was executed perfectly and a lot of people giving it one star are acting as if this was supposed to be the big CLIMAX when in reality, it’s foreshadowing to what’s to come. ***SPOILER BELOW*** At the very end when Abby and Lev get to Santa Barbara and they find the radio, they make contact with the fireflies and find out they’re holed up in a different location. The fireflies wanted Ellie’s immunity to end the virus outbreak. Ellie in the end let Abby and Lev escape and if that’s not foreshadowing for a bigger story, I don’t know what else is. Also, not to mention the fact that this game has a build up of PTSD moments where you see flashes of Joel’s dead body and other stuff along those lines. If you have never had a traumatic moment like that, you wouldn’t most likely be able to relate. Trauma is what this game is really about. The overbearing guilt that Ellie and Abby both had. It just came to show that vengeance was never the answer and because of it, they lost everyone they ever loved. Abbys friends and side lover Owen are all dead along with being an outcast when she was at the height of her career with the WLFS. Ellie losing Joel, Jesse, Dina and many more, having survived just barely with the encounter with Abby. It’s traumatic on both sides because vengeance made them lose sight of what was really important and that was to live to love another day. The foreshadow is that Abby escapes and she is now heading for the fireflies. The fireflies wanting one thing, THE CURE. MEANING, unfinished business and most likely a 3rd installment in the series. For those of you hating on the game, you just don’t have the mental capacity to see the bigger picture. So suck it up, cuz the 3rd game most likely will be your absolute favorite. For those of you who “watched gameplay” or watched someone else play, don’t leave reviews if you haven’t even immersed yourself into this wonderful game.
