The overall theme is just how others are trying to frame the lead due to his political ideologies.
The news of not using CGI for atomic bomb test is just a hype and nothing else. The scene lasts just for few minutes and is as good as using CGI if not worse.
Overall very boring and not at all comparable to other movies like inception, interstellar.
