*Spoilers*
The fact that this is the first time I have ever heard or seen anything about this story and the same seemingly to applies to many others is just amazing! I have read on other forums people who live in the same city and knew nothing about it. How is that even possible? How can such atrocities be hidden for so long is beyond me. I know with the Tulsa massacre which was around about the same time was much the same.
In regards to the film itself, I agree that the movie is very long and a bit dull and repetitive in parts. This is a story definitely worth telling and I hope it gets told again preferably through the Osage peoples perspective. To watch this whole movie of this horrid man/men plotting and scheming the demise of all these people, to only get read the ending to weird sound effects was really quite disappointing. What was the point of the court scenes if you don't get to have the satisfaction of watching these men being found guilty and hauled off to prison. Knowing that Molly infact remarried and maybe got to have a little bit of happiness after suffering such losses and not even getting to see a snippet of that, It feels like the bad guys won all over again.
I'm going to read the book to hopefully get a more in depth perspective and a more conclusive ending. I think this movie is definitely still worth a watch for history's sake. It's scary to think this is how natives were treated with "some" rights, power and money. It makes you wonder what other stories from history are being hidden....
