Stunning, emotive and powerful album. Sublime riffs (that often come harmonised) and punchy songwriting. Minus one star for the very resonant high tom that the drummer features throughout the album and sticks out like a sore thumb. Thankfully their latest single "Not Linear" features a much deeper, crunchy and earthy tone set. Regardless, it doesn't detract from experiencing the joy in the music from these young Singaporeans. Everything else sounds fantastic, great engineering/mixing all round and the guitars are especially crisp and edgy. Favourite tracks are 2, 3, 9, 7, 1. There's a band/drum fill towards the end of 'Circle' which always puts a smile on my face. Listening on repeat for a while. Can't wait for more.

All Around You

this is a good movie, it's got a big emphasis on style and mood and atmosphere as other reviews have pointed out (not to the detriment of the plot too much). it's more of a weird, mysterious, creepy horror but it does have a few good scares. gets pretty epic towards the end in it's own way. I enjoyed it. I will however, never ever play the recorder again. glad Dan Stevens is doing well after the events of Downton.
