With the resources the bbc have I was expecting something truly spectacular, this was truly awful, I thought spielberg made a hash, this is sadly worse, a costume drama with a smattering of other wordly, unfaithful to the book, pointless, dull and disjointed. Took me several attempts to plough through these tedious episodes and just having finished the last instalment, omg, do yourself a favour, stick your headphones in and listen to the musical! Whomever was responsible for this travesty, please go into a profession other than broadcasting!
