I was raised by an abusive father who used these principles. I haven't spoken to him in almost 2 years now, and wish I had stopped sooner. He beat us with dowel rods until we were bruised and covered in welts. My brother got as many as 30 strikes when he was only 8 years old. Please do not support the authors.
