One big clunky mess. They stuff the game with all these add-ons to mask the fact that the actual game is terrible. The only modes I play are MyCareer with no my park and play now online because I like real basketball and I’ve always found MyPark to be cartoonish and unrealistic. So this review is strictly on 2K gameplay not any of the extra stuff they’ve added in like shoes, tattoos, go karts and basically all the things that are irrelevant to an actual basketball game. On the court when you pick regular teams, you cannot shoot, shooting is nearly impossible. Back in the old days on 2K all you had to do was learn someone’s jumper and you could hop on play now online and make shots that is no longer the case. There are now 10 different factors that go in the shooting and learning someone’s jump shots means literally nothing. The shooting seems random and code based, almost As if the game decides when you’re gonna make shots and when you aren’t shots that should go in don’t and shots that shouldn’t go in will at random times during the game. You can’t create space, passing lanes are still clogged. A.I intelligence is still nonexistent. All the players you don’t control just all stand out by the three-point line without moving. Even the center with a 25 rating at the 3pt rating will just stand out by the 3pt. line instead of cutting to the basket. Centers won’t make any attempts to get offensive rebounds. The coding and makeup of the game is just bad. They need to strip 2k down to its bare roots and just completely start over. But the biggest and most important complaint I have about this game is it’s just simply not fun…at the end of the day when you pick up the sticks to play 2K you just don’t have fun anymore like you used too.

Everyone responsible for this movie should face criminal charges. Saying this movie is bad is the understatement of the century.

This game is awful they put no effort into this game. They spend all their time in my park building the city & my team, so you spend VC vs. actual game play. The computer algorithm that predetermines basically the outcome of every game is god-awful. It determines when you miss or make a shot, it determines when you turn the ball over, it determine literally every aspect of the game. The shooting is broken, the defense is god awful, the A.I intelligence of your teammates is just atrocious. And don’t get me started on the passing. Every turnover you have in the game is basically the other team sitting there with their hands up waiting for a catch. It resembles a father and son in the backyard playing catch together. The algorithm that I mentioned determines your turnovers so the other team already knows when you’re going to turn up all over so they’ll have their hands up 🙌🏾 in a catching stance before you even make the pass. (in the old 2K you actually had to work for your steals, you had to time your opponent’s dribble just right to make a steal) The A.I teammates you have will just stand there and not move around on the court. All in all this game is awful. Just completely awful, definitely my last year playing 2k. And the biggest complaint I have is that the game is just simply no longer fun, the purpose of video games is for the user to have fun. This game is more of a headache than fun, so I’m done.

Let’s just say I downloaded the game for free on my PS5, for its NFL kickoff promotion; and 45 mins later I uninstalled it. Again it was free and I still uninstalled within an hour. That’s how TERRIBLE this game is. They should honestly be legally required to refund anyone who pre-ordered or payed for this junk. NFL needs to buyout their contract with EA and find a new developer company ASAP🤦🏾‍♂️

Extremely slow and laggy the gameplay Is just terrible because they focus so much on micro transactions like they don’t really put any effort or emphasis on an actual gameplay and on top of that 2K has an animation algorithm in their game that just makes certain actions happen each game and it makes the actual gameplay just extremely terrible worst 2k I’ve played in awhile.
