I thought that Nicolas Cage’s portrayal of Dracula was excellent. He did a phenomenal job. He was terrifying! His comedy was perfect. I wish we could have seen him in a Dracula movie. Nicolas Cage’s performance is the only reason worth watching. The sad thing is that he is barely in it. Renfield is boring throughout. It struggles with comedy. I don’t think they consulted with any comedians before writing the script. The blood, gore, and makeup was well done. I think Renfield needs to decide whether it’s a comedy or horror, because it doesn't excel at either. Most of the exciting parts of the movie is in the trailer. Very disappointing!
