Everyone sees his Glory, but now we know his Story! So I had the pleasure of providing childcare to his two older children when they were very young. They were two of the sweetest, considerate, well-rounded kids I’ve ever cared for in over 26 years of being a Childcare Provider. I always admired Mr. Graden and his then-wife, Nicole, as being strong, committed, loving parents, and just GREAT, upstanding people all around. You never know one’s story….Would have never guessed that Mr. Graden suffered such trauma as a child. But he bent, did not break.
This raw, transparent truth about his life and how he used fear and insecurities to build strength and character and turned all that pain into a real life lesson is a must read for anyone. I love it when “our” men don’t run from vulnerability, but instead embrace it and draw strength from it. Thank you so much for sharing yur story with so much transparency!
My prayer is that more of “our” men learn how to let pain hurt and turn it into something else-especially for our young Black boys! Thank you so much for sharing your story!
