Deep, dark, but not dreamless. A compelling and serene nightmare from which one did not wish to wake. Beatifully filmed in black and white, directed with a light touch and featuring a wonderful performace by Andrew Scott. The cameo by John Malkovich was the icing on this beautifully baked cake. There will almost certainly be a second series - I am not sure we will see such a delightful pace again as Timothy Fanshawe takes us forward.
