Richelle Mead’s book series was one of the closest to my heart in my teen years, and this is why I simply just cannot get over how much of a disappointment this adaption was. These characters were unrecognisable, not just in physical appearance (and heritage, yeah I said it), but in personality, portrayal and just about everything about them. The same can be said for the complete butchering of the storyline. Why is it so hard to make an authentic adaption of a story with so much potential to be a really good show, that is also respectful to its author/readers? Honestly, it amazes me.
