Following the first Avatar movie, the second in line could have so easily reached for perfect utopian heights. Yes, the importance of family and unity was emphasized. Yes it demonstrated how humans could be one with nature and finally, it demonstrated the old Hollywood true and tested good ultimately overcoming evil even if evil is not totally eliminated, but rather allowed to escape thru the back door - presumably for the sake of a future sequel. But did it really need to turn into another Hollywood all hell loose war spewing anger, revenge, hatred and killing? No it did not and yet it didn't stop till it reached the point of utter viewer exhaustion and rejection.
While the movie centers around kids, it is not a movie to take kids to.
Rather than it's failure, it should have, could have been such a great production , given it's creative visual effects and cinematography.
