I was afraid that this book may try to rewrite the President Snow we know to make us empathize with him. Instead, the book still did a great job of showing us the circumstances he was in while still showing his narcissistic, selfish nature. The pacing was odd at times but overall, the book provides a more philosophical view of the true meaning of the Hunger Games.
