The hate for this show through 2 episodes is absolutely ridiculous. Starwars fans are known to NEVER be happy and for shows like acolyte, book of boba fett, the whole Disney trilogy, mandalorian season 3, they should be upset (Disney ruined key characters and crapped on the lore inside of the universe that was built in books and tv show). But skeleton crew isn’t in that same category. It doesn’t include any main line characters so it's just a refreshing story with none of the anxiety that comes with the fear of Disney ruining another beloved character (like boba fett and Luke Skywalker). I’ve never smiled so much in a starwars episode, it’s pure fun with very good looking unique species that gives the much needed reminder that Starwars isn’t a bunch of people or “aliens” that look like painted people. When you also have a show involving a bunch of kids often they can annoy the hell out of the viewers like omega did for 2 seasons. The kids aren’t annoying and are an absolute joy. This show has been incredibly fun and it’s really great seeing life in the new republic.

I’m blown away by the bad reviews of this show and compelled me to write this review. Batman the Caped Crusader has a similar feel to the 1992 animated series with an updated style with a better budget. Obviously it’s not Batman the animated series which is my favorite piece of Batman content to date, but don’t let nostalgia cloud your view. The caped crusader takes a refreshing new take on some villains similar to “the Batman” (2004-2008). The 1992 series always felt like it would’ve been a step better if it didn’t shy from violence and wasn’t aimed towards kids. This show achieves that with grace that makes the world feel gritty and really shows the skill of Batman. Batman also shows how great of a detective he is which is something that is seemingly forgotten about in some recent opinions. The violence is what pushes this show over the edge to nailing the feel of this show. It’s gritty, a lot of interesting takes on characters with a lot of depth, and I love the fact that Bruce Wayne is a shell, and he is the true facade. And Batman is who he really is. His cold heartedness and unyielding resolve to fight crime is clear and is in true Batman fashion. This show is a wonderful watch from the characters, the portrayal of Batman, the fresh take on classic villains and old characters from 1992, but do not let nostalgia cloud your opinion.

This show spits in the face of starwars. They undermine anakin’s entire character arc by creating similarities between osha and him like: - Born by divine intervention by the force (which is something plaguis was supposed to figure out but that doesn’t matter anymore I guess) - Foretold to be really strong and powerful in the force - Brought into the order at 8 (way too old when the usual age is 4) by a qui-gon like figure And and heard in episode 4, has a hard time accepting death. They have no respect for starwars. Ki-adi Mundi was quoted as saying “the sith haven’t been around for a Milennia” then why is he in the Jedi order at this time during the events of a Sith Lord being discovered? And the Sith Lord. It’s not tenebrous or plaguis but another human being in a galaxy full of thousands of species. Why? The show isn’t over yet so maybe they can at least get that right. The show’s plot is loose and Mae all of a sudden wanting to be good and be BFFs with osha despite wanting her dead undermines the whole plot. I just want a show that respects starwars and its original vision, closely to the clone wars or andor or rogue one or the good parts of kenobi. A show that shows vast knowledge of starwars and a respect for the canon and the plot instead of a character driven agenda.
