"Kalki 2898" Review: I recently watched "Kalki 2898" and while the film had some standout elements, it ultimately fell flat in many areas. Let's start with the positives: the VFX in this movie is truly spectacular. The visual effects team deserves all the praise for creating a stunning futuristic world that captivates the audience. The Mahabharata sequences and story were also well-executed, adding depth and a sense of epic grandeur to the narrative. However, these highlights are overshadowed by several significant flaws. The action sequences were a letdown, lacking originality and failing to generate excitement. It felt like the movie took too much inspiration from other popular films, leading to a sense of déjà vu rather than something fresh and engaging. Disha Patani's excessive skin-show was another sore point. It seemed unnecessary and did not contribute to the story in any meaningful way, detracting from the film's overall quality. Moreover, the dialogues were nearly nonexistent, making it difficult to connect with the characters and their motivations. The movie also featured some truly baffling cameos that felt out of place and did nothing but add to the confusion. The pacing was sluggish, with many scenes dragging on far too long, making the film feel much longer than it needed to be. Overall, "Kalki 2898" ends up being a boring, one-time watch. Despite its impressive visuals and intriguing Mahabharata sequences, it ultimately falls short due to uninspired action, derivative elements, unnecessary skin-show, lack of dialogue, pointless cameos, and a dragging narrative.
