Clever. spinning the criminal consultant angle. and actually getting help from a killer has a very Hannibal feeling to it. the lighting is moody and reminiscent of something like twilight. but the sparkle here is all from the stellar performances of our cast. the only actor I have some issue with is a male officer that seems to always be lacking presence. it feels like they used Anthony DiNozzo from NCIS as a character model but he has 1/3 the personality. other than that, this series has everything it needs to hold the fans in a fandom type of rapture. in the way that Lost or Prison Break did initially. let us hope they can keep the momentum going.

they know what they did. and that's what they choose. respect to them for going with a loose adaptation than an actual book adaptation. it feels Very CW fanfiction version of the books. I'll finish out the first season and then let this fade in my memory until I can forget it before re-reading the books for comfort. the casting of the main characters was great not counting Thom because that was a mess. but you move on I don't wish to dwell on this any further. I'll be trying to repair relationships with friends I got to read the first book in anticipation for the show. as my suggestions don't hold much water now. but that's egg on my face.
