I wanted to like this. What I got was a mixed bag. What ever happened to strong male hero characters? This new show did some things right and I liked how they expanded on the lore and took things in a new direction, but for some ungodly reason, men can't be winners. Don't get me wrong, I liked Teela and Andra and their characters were great, but I was hoping to see men be winners for a change and stand with the women in the show on equal footing and not just something to die (sometimes twice) so the women can move forward. If the setting was different I'd probably love this show, but it's not. The writers really need to re-watch the original and think about how it used to treat the men and women on more equal footing than what we got here.
