I know! Yet another review. But, I will keep it short & uh uh un-sweet π
What I wanted to do ? Give a few Gatorade IV drip to Tajdar & Alamzeb to speed things up! Jeez,I am a die hard , old school romantic but this affaire de coeur was agonizing to watch.I think snails must be doing it quicker!
But,I loved Bhansali for his colonial backlash. After being ignonimously ruled by the British and our hard earned freedom, we really hadn't given a jolt to them. However, Bhansali did it, manπ
The portrayal of the angrez officers/burra sahibs was so deliciously stupid, I doubt they will ever recover from it π
The really terrific part (not being sarcastic) was the opulent sets, costumes & jewellery ,beautiful women and music.
I doubt anyone can make a film on tawaifs/courtesans like "Umrao Jaan" again...the one with the immortal Rekha , not the screechy, silly Aishwariya.
Right, huzoors, this na cheez signing off.Pardon the rave & rant!
