The movie can be summed of a massive mixed bag. It jumps from one plot to another with little time to take anything in and does whatever it can to fix every detail from the previous films. This movie suffered from a lack of planning and poor management.
I didn’t enjoy the lesbian kiss toward the end, even if it was just 2 seconds. This is because I hate seeing these kinds of things in fantasy movies when I’m watching it to escape this kind of reality. When stuff like this is brought, all it does is water it down and take you out of the setting.
While there were some moments I genuinely enjoyed, mainly due to it being unexpected or visually pleasing, for the most part the movie left me with a bitter taste in my mouth and leaving me disappointed, as it did with many people leaving the theater.
After this, I can’t see myself watching another Disney Star Wars film. Given how this trilogy ended, I can’t bring myself to bear any more heartache. If they improve their standard and stop placing agendas in their movies, then maybe I’ll come back, but as of right now I will be avoiding new mainline Star Wars films.
