I’m a big Baldacci fan and have read so many of his books for escapist entertainment. This was disappointing and I’m about to leave it unfinished. I just lost interest. Too many characters. Too much emphasis, without heart, on the female lead raising her children while pursuing the bad guys. While claiming to be a psychological thriller it actually becomes a mish-mash of partially conceived characters who never really draw you into their world. In a word, it became boring. I got to the point where I no longer cared “whodunnit”?
