As a huge fan of the original, I was eager to see this, but at the same time skeptical. Nothing to fear. Blunt as Poppins is pitch perfect in portrayal and the singing. I was smiling from beginning to end. A joy.

I have to agree with all the other kudos for this gem. I only held back one star due to the length. Three hours of a mostly dark (though with a redemption theme) film is a bit much. Make sure you use the facilities before watching or you could end up like the game show whiz kid in the movie. Hey, there's a pun in there somewhere.
