Like so many have commented. What can you do with something that's been done, and done? /do it differently of course!
_however with Bram Stokers 'Dracula' being the institution it is... its always going to fall short of expectation for many including myself; there have been some good/ok/ and awful adaptations. But if this is viewed as something to watch, and you do not make the mistake of pumping yourself up ready to take a journey into the gothic frightening preconceptions you have -it hits well. Casting is great! In my view it should have remained a period piece theres nothing scary about modern times; when all mysterys are solved so's to speak. A great bit of T.V. drama with touches of humour and the two lead characters doing their very best with the material their given to work with. Great actors, the only bad bits are when you get the annoying feeling..it could and possibly should! /have been so much more!!
