Disappointing movie. Director has not done his homework.
Terrorists seem pretty useless throughout and the hero is always ahead of them.
Heroin wasn't needed. And even then, why was a non Tamil speaking heroin needed alongside Vijay. We have so many heroins who would have done the job much better, for this role one example - Kajal Agarwal.
I don't know why many movies like the use of strings and cables to fly during fight scenes. Opening fight sequence was fine and modern apart from the unnecessary jumping upwards and 'flying'.
Scenes in the mall for example like the mini Cooper that was used to fly from one floor to another was very much ridiculous.
Quite a number of comedians but none of them were utilized well. Only exception - VTV Ganesh.
Yogi Babu and Kingsley only had at most 15mins of screentime. Sathish overacted his scenes and was not funny at all.
From the hundreds of bullets shot at Vijay directly and in the open, none of them seemingly hits him.
Final 15mins of the movie was a huge joke. Flying a fighter jet to and from the enemy location as if it's your own car. Yes I know this is indian cinema but make it still believable and not fully dumb and ridiculous. And flying without a helmet, g suit and oxygen mask brought ridiculousness to another level. It's a fighter jet for God sake, not a 4 seater private leisure aircraft and you're not flying from home using VR. There was a scene where Vijay will be telling what aircraft he is in. The aircraft is a Sukhoi SU30 MKI ( I stands for India). But he pronounced MKI as 'Mark 1'. This is an example of how the director has not done his homework.
Vijay played his role well in the movie and that's the only consolation. And also the Arabic kuthu song which had visuals that was nice to watch. But also while Pooja Hegde's steps were beautiful, I don't know why they had to give Vijay certain steps that didn't make any link to the song. It was merely like just dancing to the beat instead of correlating it to the lyrics and song. One thing is for sure, Vijay at nearly 50 has not lost any of his moves or charm.
