I didn't like it. It was too harsh for me.. there were no soft moments at all.. India came across as a busy, beeping, unkind place but also as a place that's very watchful of everyone, where women have a crap time.. I just didn't like it at all.

I saw this film by accident back in around 1999, and it was fantastic except that the power went just as it was getting to the end.. took years before I got to see it again and I loved it then and I love it now... Never watched the remake because when a film is THIS GOOD there's no need for a remake. I love Walter Matthau, he's so deadpan, perfect for this role.. if you haven't seen it, then get to see it.. fantastic film.

I'm enjoying it. I want to batter Andrew Lincoln to death with a blunt object and tell him to cop on.. in places it's bonkers and hilarious which seems inappropriate.. the characters are so odd, the female vicar is one.. if I had any of these as neighbours I'd move.. but somehow I want to watch to the end..

I love James Norton but what is he doing in this pile of shit. I found it complicated in parts. Not historically accurate. Clichéd. Language inaccurate, somebody said 'fuck' in episode 1. Plus English back then was unrecognisable to the English language of today.. I know it would be difficult to make a series using old English but try to keep it at least a little bit authentic. I couldn't watch the 1st episode to the end. Pile of poo.

I loved it. It rounded off the series of films really well. It was sad, happy, comforting.. I related to it..
