My expectations led me to a sad place. Actors (apart from the lead) were disappointing. The screenplay was tedious and predictable. The monsters were too loud...and Not scary. As an old dude who saw the original movie in 1979 (and who was blown away), I hoped for a taste of the Ridley Scott magic? Alas no. Maybe y'all will enjoy this movie. I hope you do.🙄

This movie, from a living legend, is disappointing. Cast, script, direction and camerawork are admirable, yet the thing simply doesn't fly, and it should. Watch "Waterloo" from 1970 and you'll see what this movie could have been. Tried to cover too much ground, I think.

Anything’s possible when you mess about with a black hole. It’s going to be unpredictable. This film has a wonderful mix of imagination and horror, with lots of science. The casting is excellent. Tension is tightly controlled throughout. A worthy sy-fi scare movie that doesn’t deserve it’s poor reviews. 7/10

This is a perfect and dark piece of BBC television. Set in 1985, it's about an American conglomerate buying a disused coal mine in Yorkshire to store plutonium! (no spoilers). Menacing, superbly acted, insanely high production values. Watch this!!

My background is Oil and Gas. In the eighties and nineties, I worked with several US companies developing North Sea fields. I knew then we were harming the environment, stuff that didn't make the newspapers. I left with depression and later worked in public parks in London. I was really happy. Then I noticed that trees, healthy trees hundreds of years old, were simply falling over, or dropping major branches, due to lack of water. I started reading about climate warming. Twenty years later, this documentary is the most accurate, and saddening thing I have seen. The corruption of the green movement by big business is horrible. I was shocked to see UTube ban this documentary. You must watch this.

This is a waste of time for anyone wanting an action film to ease into a Sunday evening. SEVENTY MINUTES of blah blah blah subplots, inner musings, emotional constipation etc etc. When the twenty minutes of action FINALLY arrived it was WORSE!! Take my advice guys.... WATCH MEMPHIS BELLE INSTEAD! ( I’m off to self harm).
