Spoilers Ahead, TLDR at the bottom.
Right, so this series has 8 episodes, and I can confirm that the first 7 episodes are a solid 4 out of 5. Good character building, really enjoyed that each episode focused on one character and made you think, "Whoodunnit?"
I love shows like this, where you can discuss with a friend or spouse who you think killed the guy. What I don't like is writers who decide to make the killer(s) someone who has had no focus throughout the entire series, no hints or clues whatsoever to suggest it was them, basically giving your audience no chance to be right to who killed him.
It would be like playing Cluedo, and revealing at the end that the dog from Monopoly did it. It's lazy writing and shows that they wanted to make sure it wasn't too obvious who it was, but wasn't sure how to cleverly write in the murderer, and that they were right under our noses the whole time!
I'm disappointed that I wasted many hours watching this show to be told that some old woman and her husband did it. So many plot holes and unanswered questions as well. Lots of useless filler that doesn't contribute to the story.
I would give this one star, but because I liked the first 7 episodes and some of the actors/actresses did great in their roles, I'm rounding it to two stars.
TLDR: Man gets kidnapped and killed, 7 episodes of great TV, character building and trying to piece together who killed him. It was solitaire playing grandma all along.
