SOMM opened the world of wine to me. Before watching SOMM, my attitude towards wine might be the same as Sheldon Cooper on The Big Bang Theory: "Oh, grape juice that burns." Now I see wine as history encapsulated in a bottle. The story of nations, lands and peoples in a garnet or golden drop of wine. It's been fascinating to watch the young sommeliers grow up through the SOMM series and follow their lives and careers. They inspire me to learn more and perhaps even start a cellar with one or two bottles. Great show! Great series!
