As the first PM of India, a great onus lay on his capabilities to create a strong nation with a healthy people & economy. But he only weakened our very foundation by ignoring the Chinese threat & being a 'good guy ' to the British. He was not even elected to be the PM. Without Sardar Patel, we would have not only lost Kashmir but even Hyderabad. Perhaps the only blunder that S Patel made was to bow down to Gandhiji's advice, ill-conceived & undemocratic as it was.
