The scenery, the music and the general survival plot is in queue to become a good movie, however this film comes off a little goofy/daft. When they made this movie in 1996, they should have said it was somewhere between 1950-1980 just to give it more texture and avenues for the writers and actors.
A pivotal part of the movie is the decision to travel by sea plane 80 additional miles to find a native american gentleman (complete stranger) to be in a photo shoot with Elle Macpherson. My expectations already low at this point, greatly lowered, so I just tried to enjoy their "attempt" to make a good movie in 1996. This movie should receive 2.5 out five stars as I did watch the entire movie and wanted to see the end!
I thought Anthony Hopkins, Alec Baldwin and Bart the Bear had pretty good chemistry. I heard Alec Baldwin would sit in Bart's very large actors' chair between scenes which escalated into many onset shenanigans. :)
