Unfortunately I have to give this one star because giving it no stars was not an option. I’m so very dissapointed. I have read the books more than once because they are that good. I recommend anyone who has not read the books and thinks this show is great 🙄 (no, I beg of you please read the books). If you don’t like reading then listen at least to the audio books. You too will find that you have been robbed of a great story in this tv series. I actually thought I would give it a chance after the first episodes disappointment thinking if I had not read the books would this version be good as a tv series anyway. The plain and simple answer is NO! I could go on and on about how pissed I am that they ruined this and how it is such an insult to Anne Rice in this______ (fill in the blank from your thesaurus with every word listed under terrible) version of her story. But I think you get the picture. So very sad. I’ll close by saying to all the gitty people so excited about this amc series….. Be prepared for your bubble to burst. They will not renew this for another season. It’s a one and done failure.
