Barbati Sanctus

Beautifully written and expertly shot. Cage is definitely going through his own "Nicaissance" proving he still has it in him to produce fantastic performances when he is directed by the right people. Anything less than 5 stars would be a mistake. This is not the perfect film but it is more than a John Wick rip off as the trailer would have it portrayed. The PIG may symbolize the same last grip on the memories of a dead loved one. However, instead of using creative stunt choreography with eye popping set pieces this story is told with subtlety. Cage's portrayal of Rob has a silent rage very few performances can match. It too has what Mr. Reeves was not able to fully to convey (even though glimpses can be seen in the 1st part of the broken wick trilogy) that thing being heart.
