Can't say more than what others have alrwady stated. I only watched the first episode and five seconds in I knew it wasn't going to be good. Not once did I laugh or think anything the show tried to refernce or make fun off was necessary or insightful. Its unfortunate that it is using Scooby Doo as a skin to do meta commentary on modern media when it could have just been any other random animated show. I will be utterly surprised if this gets a second season and await the five people to tell me this show is actually funny and Im wrong for not getting it.

This is the best live action anime adaptation Netflix has made so far. The visuals and art direction make it look and feel like a sci-fi space cowboy cop drama that it and the original are inspired by. There are things that are put in to play on nostalgia but even those were unexpected to see and done well enough that it didn't feel like cringe. The plot is well paced for what it is and what it needs to do. The characters are updated to fit in this day and age without being carbon copies. The choice of characters and story beats are deliberate but work way better than anything else I have seen before. The people who worked on this cared for what they where making and did it right. No one says names wrong or weird, the music didn't change, nor were characters changed. I would put this show at the same level as Street Fighter: The Assassins Fist series. Yes not all the visuals look great and they did just use music from the original show sprinkled in but they did not need to use every song at the same spot. People just want to complain. If its the same they say its bad and when its too different they say its bad. I recommended everyone to watch it for themselves and make their own opinions about it. Looking forward to season 2!
