Simply brilliant! Not sure why I was hesitant to see this movie at first but having watched it, I would rate it as one of the best movies of 2019. Brilliant performances all round. Especially Bhoomi and Taapsee

Very incongruous storyline with actors hamming it to the hilt. Performances range from flat and monotonous to melodramatic and cringeworthy. The idea of Indian servants speaking perfect English may be highly appealing to British audiences but is simply incredulous and laughable in the Indian context. So very disappointing from Gurinder Chadha.
