The initial negative responses that I am seeing are coming from the fact that this is not HIMYM. The style is the same but the characters are different and some fans are having trouble dealing with that. Once they acknowledge that fact and get beyond it, I am sure the diverse cast of characters will grow on them. Setting up a familiar foundation in a setting that we know and love can prove beneficial for the long term of this show. The sky is the limit!
