I decided to give it two stars only because it is the first book I managed to read till the very end of these last six months. At some moments it was captivating and cute. Anything else, the content, the characters, and the tedious and unrealistic dialogues yelled to give one star. This book is offensive to all desperate mothers who can't find their kids, they are trying hard, doing research, giving the last penny to find the biggest treasure life gave, and receiving answers that every rock and stone is checked, they have done the impossible, but there is no sign of their kid. They failed and their heart is broken because what is life without your little one? Every mother will do that, except our heroine Eloise. Or no. I am wrong-she has done something, writing letters in the 21st century, in a time when Facebook and Instagram exist, but no, she writes letters!! I am pissed off when I am writing this, and this is one of the reasons that I don't like the book. Sara Jios's tendency to constantly force insta love, love is more than laughing and liking the same thing, love is to love someone in bad times and good times, especially in bad times, but no, if someone doesn't like snow as much as you do, that person is not for you. And instead of trying to contact her before her death, she organizes a scavenger hunt. What a time-consuming!! Also, the comments about Fiona were stupid the author tried hard to make her unlikeable making her obsessed with her look, a person who is vegetarian and prefers watching movies instead of reading. So, what? I will stop here, I can write more about this book, about the way how people talk in this book, no one talks like that in real life, about the lack of hate that Val has towards his mother, and the impression I had that this book is written with a help of AI.
