I enjoyed this book, it kept me gripped, even though occasionally I found it confusing. My favourite character was Narinder. She us a beautiful soul who wishes to serve and do good. It was rewarding to follow her journey through young adulthood into her 30s. She faced really complex issues of family and culture which I really liked learning about. Overall, the novel revealed so much about cultural mores and norms that were new to me, as well as the reality of hidden lives in the UK where I live. Humane, compassionate, funny too. Not perfect but well worth a read, dont give up on this remarkable story of 3 young men and a magnificent young woman and their families.
