Great movie! No spoilers, however, I especially liked the plot involving the two rival Western gangs. As usual, Lakeith Stanfield stands out with that quiet commanding performance. Terrific acting by all!!!

Great movie! So many movies depicting enslaved people portray them with broken spirits. This movie is refreshing in that while it shows the degradation of slavery, it also shows how one man systematically fought back. A must see!

Excellent movie! Viggo Mortensen does an outstanding job - producing, directing, and starring in this heartfelt movie. Laura Linney has a small but crucial role delivering her performance with her usual captivating style. Lance Henrikson’s performed is Oscar worthy. Past and present are intertwined beautifully.

A tour de force! Denzel Washington and Frances McDormand are excellent in their respective roles as Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. Specifically, as one plots, plans and finally initiate - then their roles are switched. Their facial expressions are key to understanding how things are unfolding. I especially admired how Joel Coen wrote and directed this production with an eye for detail. POC are portrayed realistically, e.g., Macduff and his family. Power is the prize here as depicted at the end when Macbeth reaches for his crown before his sword. Excellent actors and casting. Well worth watching.
