Cloudy – Google

I’ve read and seen everything related to Jane Austen and I loved it. Yes it has some Bridgerton-like elements and was not enough like the book and original characters to just be called “Persuasion” and it strays from historical accuracy in parts but it retains Austen’s wit and humor with a modern twist and as a film is one of the best within a sea of Netflix garbage. Great cinematography and music. I enjoyed Dakota’s regular looks at the camera. Are the critic’s awful? Yes. Critics are awful because those who can’t create, complain.

SPOILERS. I love this show. It’s the Great British Bake Off with ceramics. And Keith Brymer is a gem. I have to mention, however, that I miss the other original co-judge, Kate. She had a heart and eye that is missing with Sue. I’m finishing season 3 and disagreed with the judging several times which I NEVER did in the first two seasons. Rosalind was a true artist. Still thinking of the sheep lanterns and amazing firing from her post that sent her home (what??) and not sure how Reina and Claire lasted so long eek. The whole championing creative heart and masterful artistic movement has been neglected in those choices. I think Rosa and Jacob have that. The first two seasons really nurtured those aspects in ever episode. And I do miss the original host. She has a great sense of humor and the intro with the make believe antiquated tv demos was fantastic. I know this happened with GBBO when they changed channels but they did a better job of changing roles. Anyhow, we still have Keith and some brilliant artists so I’m thrilled to continue and recommend this 5 star show. Edit: I’ve started in on season 4 and I absolutely love that firing expert Rich is the new judge and that there’s a new host again. Siobhan is fun. Not sure what the upcoming season 5 will bring but this is all great news.
