The pearl is an inspirational book, reflecting on the life of a poor man and his determination to have a better future. If I am to analyse it using deconstruction theory, I won`t have accepted the bitter ending of Kino. His efforts could have been rewarded. His efforts and struggling could have been rewarded. Despite this, the novella has great taste as it illustrates efforts of families breadwinners, Kino in this case, he is the bread winner who struggles hard for happiness of his family.
Themes evidenced in this novella includes; Love and Marriage, Pain and Suffering among others. This novel suits mostly the youths and the young ``fathers or mothers`` as it illustrates the idea love, struggling besides determination.
