Possible spoilers ahead? I actually liked this movie, even though that doesn’t seem to be exactly popular right now given our current status quo of wanting to pan anything involving Jlo as of recently. Good amount of action, great performance by Jennifer Lopez, and I enjoyed the relationship between her character Atlas and the AI she comes to trust, Smith (even if she seemingly had no other choice but to.) That part got me feeling a little emotional and for me that seems to pass the test of it being an enjoyable movie, even before the action comes into the equation. The plot was a little cut and dry, yes, however that didn’t stop me from enjoying this movie. I liked Simu Liu as the main antagonist as well. This is one movie in a long while that I haven’t decided to eschew for getting on my phone halfway through during movie night, and that says a lot. Overall, it’s a worthwhile watch.
