Great movie - love Dune. But for those saying it created sci-fi…I mean the original book wasn’t published until 1965. Star Trek TOS aired on TV in 1964. I’d say you can thank Star Trek for the sci-fi we know and also thank Dune for helping to expand upon that. Key differences though is Star Trek focused on computers whereas Dune is about genetic and biological augments as components of society.
