This show is incredible. I’ve never been much interested in sci-fi dramas and came across this one totally by chance. But now, I'm really thankful to god that I encountered such a masterpiece! I binge watched the series and absolutely loved it. 'Are you human too?' is a show that will leave you awestruck after each and every episode! The plot is perfect, story is perfect, cast is perfect and cinematic experience is so amazing! Seo Kang joon's acting is absolutely mind boggling, his ability portray two very contrasting characters had me stunned more than once throughout the drama. In certain scenes where it’s quite impossible not to show human emotions, he maintains his robotic persona without fault. He’s so extremely lovable in one scene and as soon as his second character comes on the screen, you feel this undeniable hate. I could relate to both Nam Shin 3 and Nam Shin as both were correct in their respective places. You'd despise the human Nam Shin and his psychopathic behavior but just think once, what does it feels like to loose your everything to a complete stranger? We've grown up watching movies that show how machines and robots could turn into evil and harm mankind. But what if it's the other way around? This drama shows how the creators can become their own destroyers over greed and ego. Presenting this angstful side of human nature just brought life to the whole drama and made it one of its kind. Lee Joon Hyuk is a special mention here as he pulls off his role amazingly and makes the entire plot so thrilling. Also, I really felt the connections between the male and female leads were so heartwarming. Be it his mother or his bodygaurd, the relations were pure and full of unconditional love. This show hit me hard because it's way different from the old school love between human and robot.(as if it's possible you may say xD). Since this is a fictional sci-fi drama, you can not expect everything to be realistic. At some point you may feel that things are going overboard, but my only suggestion to you would be: ignore the little mistakes, watch it as a fantasy drama and keep your realistic logics aside for a while. This way, You’ll definitely enjoy this fun filled drama. Moreover, I don't know who categorised this under pure romance genre as to me it seemed more of a political thriller and mystery drama. Bits of romance and comedy are just cherry on top of the cake. The story includes so many things at the same time, that it'll leave you longing for more episode after episode. As the story unfolds, you get to dig deeper into the roots of hidden secrets. VERDICT: If you want to experience love, friendship, happiness, heartbreak, honesty, rivalry, politics, mystery and all sort of emotions at one place, this show is a MUST WATCH! PS: OST of the drama is just heavenly and blends well with the scenes. It drowned me so much that i'm listening to it on repeat on Spotify right now :p

I picked this show because the poster, the title and the teasers of the drama, all felt really promising. But just one episode in and I could predict the story, like it felt it’d be a cliche unfulfilled past romance kind of thing, tryna be fulfilled by a new person who'd end up falling for the lead instead. At the end I was right. I'm a person who loves unhurried and gentle romance with lots of emotions, but sadly, ‘A piece of your mind’ couldn't make me sink into the story. If compared with 'I'll go to you when the weather is nice', which is a commendable melodrama, this drama is not just slow but a bit boring too or I say, weird and complicated. I’m also very well aware of the fact that such warm dramas can be slow and exasperating at times, so not judging it on this base. What really made me dislike it, is the poor presentation. Storyline in itself is good but when showed through lens, it fails miserably. I don’t know who is to be blamed here but not the actors for sure. Both the leads were extremely good in their roles, I loved loved loooveedd their chemistry!! Those two were super natural, super cute together that I almost fell for them xD. They needn’t even speak a word, their eyes were enough to say it all. Nevertheless, what’s the use of such great acting when the story couldn’t make me connect to it in the first place? Moreover, I was extremely disappointed with how predictable the scenes were, I could literally sense it happening like half an hour before the actual scene. Such shows should be secretive enough to make you stick to it till the end. There were times my heart would ache and I wanted to cry seeing the miseries but again, in the very next moment something nonsense would happen that would make me question myself- why am I even watching it!? The closure is so different from from the opening of the story, the whole mood and plot changed abruptly. The title isn’t even justified properly. So much left untold as if the writers were adamant on taking the viewers to a point where they’d pick up the fragments, start cooking the story and build characters all by themselves! I really couldn’t understand this girl Kim JI Soo, why she chose what she chose, why she did what she did, I couldn’t make any sense out of it no matter how hard I tried. I really wish all that poorly knitted flashback story part was totally scrapped out and it were a pure romance drama between Jung Hae In and Chae Soo Bin! Oh how much I want to see them again in a good romantic story!! Their hugs, OMG took my heart way! So warm and lovely! Giving it 3 stars just because the love between the two indeed saved the show or else I would have totally discarded it. VERDICT: Consider watching it once if like me, you can endure the scattered bits of not so intriguing story till episode 6. *** PS: If you wanna watch a really good, warm and healing drama with a wonderful story+OST, go for ‘I’ll go to you when the weather is nice’. Thank me later for saving ya! *** IN MY HEAD: I perceived ‘A piece of your mind’ as a spin off series of the drama ‘While you were sleeping’. After story of policeman Woo Tak (Jung Hae In) someone who was in love with his good friend Hong Joo (Suzy) but kept his feelings to himself as she liked and married another guy Jae Chan (Lee Jong Suk). Kinda similar, ain't it?😂I watched this show replacing Ha Won with Woo Tak and Ji Soo with Hong Joo in my mind. Everything would relate so well and it became a lot more fun!😁

I'll get straight to the point. This drama has poorly knitted storyline. At the start, story had a great potential, it contained a lot of mysteries that I felt later on it'll end up with some great revelations. But as we move further we see the story is scattered and just the untied strings are put together on the table. Thus, it fails to create the magic despite of having an amazing cast. All four lead actors aced their roles! No wonder why Baek In Ho's character is considered to be the kick start role of Seo Kang joon's career. The character holds so much emotions inside him. Bek In Ho's personality and story will give you an emotional roller coaster ride. Seo Kang Joon portrays him so well that you'll experience laughter, happiness heartache, helplessness etc~ all at the same time! Honestly, Baek In Ho's part is the only 'story' thing in the drama and would bind everything together. Else it's just another high school romantics. First two episodes were kind of boring but me being a person who'd not give upon series so easily, endured it. Next few episodes showed different shades of Yoo Jeong (Park Hae Jin) giving me some hopes that his psychopathic behaviour would teach some great lessons. But it disappointed me again as all it ended in was an undesired love triangle and old school drama where the female lead would be repetitively tortured by her colleagues and the male lead would come to her rescue. Many people say they had second lead syndrome watching it. Uh, to me it never seemed like that. It's true that you just can't deny your inclination towards Baek In Ho as whatever he does is so lovable, so emotional that it almost makes you cry. But ending up with Hong Soel (kim Go Eun)? Naah! They were never meant to be together as they were very different and Soel had her own reasons to like Yoo Jeong more even if he was a cold kind of person. It doesn't matter if Baek In ho liked her. To Seol, he was only like her Oppa all this while. There's a huge difference between liking and love after all, isn't it? Some people despise the end. But if you're skipping this drama just because you read it had a bad ending, then don't. To me the last episode was the only one which contained logical things and real emotions. Though it was a bit rushed and could've easily spanned over 10 other episodes (xD). Every one ended up at the places they were meant to be, now what could have been more perfect? Leaving an open ending, it gives you numerous ways of thinking the perfect end for yourself. Finally, I feel this show had a lot of potential and could do wonders if the story was diligently prepared. Even the title 'Cheese in the trap' isn't fully justified.( Not giving any spoilers here. You'll find it yourself why I'm saying this once you watch it.) Only if they'd worked more on broken hand plot, Baek In ha's (Lee Sung Kyung) career as an artist, In Ho's and Yoo Jong's relationship, more of father's conspiracy...Aigoo! There are so many things that could've been added and so many things that could've been avoided to make it an exceptional drama! If you watch the episodes as individual entities then it is incredible. But as a series, it sucks. I'd still say I hold mixed feelings for this show. It is mundane and dreary but there is some essence that will glue you to it. (To me this essence was Seo Kang Joon or the character Baek in Ho I must say :)) VERDICT: ONE TIME WATCH [only if you have a lot of time to spare and can endure some disappointment] PS: OST IS INCREDIBLE!

Forgetting the fact that Lee Jong Suk is incredibly cute, I'm gonna be brutally honest with the review.😆 This show is one of those phenomenal shows that serve you romance, thriller, mystery, comedy, all on one plate! I loved it so much that it was very difficult for me to hold myself until the very end to write a review. Both the main leads aced their roles. While Suzy was a treat for eyes as the intellectual, bubbly and smart reporter Nam, Lee Jong Suk's character Jae Chan saved all the stressful moments with his comic relief. Professionally a prosecutor and personally a lovable, carefree, innocent, cowardly cute little boy. He’s always making you laugh with his cute aegyo and it’s adorable how he pouts when he gets jealous. But Jae Chan knows when it’s time to be serious – he’s capable, responsible, and always working hard to keep his relationship strong. Jong Suk is clearly a talented and passionate actor that his scenes could actually make me cry with him. A special mention for Jung Hae-In here, as he was so damn perfect in policeman Han Woo Tak's role that it nearly gave me a second lead syndrome. I loved how an unfortunate incident lead to the creation of an unbreakable bond between these three! Supporting each other through thick and thin, they overcame all the obstacles that came through their way. Coming to the plot, a new kind of story it presents with beautifully done cinematography. I don't know why it is called a rom-com as to me, it seemed more of a suspense murder drama with spine chilling cliffhangers! Lee Sang Yeob is really scary at times, which truly means he did full justice to his villainous character Yoo Bum. I was bewildered and left awestruck with each episode that it made me want for more. The opening and closure episodes were cleverly curated, it makes you laugh and cry at the same time as everything falls into the right place, the right way. Although the storyline felt a bit dragged mid way through the show since same kind of things were happening again and again but Oh My!! What did just get into the makers towards the end!? The last 4 episodes were incredible. I repeat, incredible! This is actually what made me star this drama 10/10. I would also like to take a moment and praise the film score. Everytime we watch a Kdrama, it's OST is something that stays with us for a much longer time. Lyrical songs are liked by everyone, but this is the first time I was amazed by instrumental background score more than the lyrical ones. I personally LOVED 'when the night started instrumental' by Kim Min Ji. It felt like this one score bound the whole plot, whole story, character building and what not! I literally had goosebumps everytime it played! Finally coming to what you can take back with you? A lot of great learnings for sure! It is a show that gives you hope on darkest of your days and tells you that no matter how pathetic your life may seem at a point, there WILL come a day when you'll get over all of that and everything will be alright once again. So believe in that day and stick through it. Ah! how much I wish that this drama never ended. Can we get a season 2 please? You still here? What are you waiting for? Go watch it NOW. Laugh, dream and heal with it. A little bit magic never hurts anyone anyway ;)
